An Abundant Woman’s Tale – You CAN Create Abundance!

This is a true story of one woman’s experience, I’ll call her Milly, on attracting and manifesting abundance into her family’s life. I still get a huge smile on my face when I think of how it all came about.

Milly has been involved in spirituality and the Law of Attraction since quite awhile before the hit movie “The Secret” was released. She just didn’t understand how it all fit together, or whether it even did fit.

It was after she watched the movie, along with quite a few videos recorded shortly after the movie, and read a few books, both new and old, on the subject; that she finally felt she had a grasp on how the Law of Attraction worked. She began to notice incidences and coincidences around her that were obvious examples of the Law of Attraction at work.

Although she knew it worked, she couldn’t seem to figure out what she was or wasn’t doing that kept her wishes and intentions from manifesting. She made a vision board as advised in the movie, along with writing her wishes and intentions, visualizing them and then letting them go so as not to become attached to them.  She worked hard to overcome limiting beliefs, became and stayed grateful for what she had, opened herself to receiving graciously…and still nothing.

She took classes and courses, read books and watched videos on the Law of Attraction, hypnotism, meditation, visualization, the power of prayer and life coaching. As time went on, the literature, videos and training on these aspects became more refined and specialized.

Milly finally began to manifest small things into her life….a parking space close to the door of the store, a specific hotel room when going on vacation, a sale on a specific item for which she wouldn’t pay full retail. She came across a book last November, “E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality” by Pam Grout. She didn’t start reading it until 3 0r 4 months after the holidays.

The book consisted of 9 different experiments to try for noticing, attracting and manifesting people, items, events and money. They started out small and became larger and more complex as the experiments progressed. She went through some the experiments, and actually had success with each experiment performed. After about 4, she decided she was going to try to manifest some money herself.

She sat down and wrote out what she wanted to attract     and manifest, “I am so happy and grateful that we have an additional $x,000 income this year.” As she had been working on a website, wanting to earn some extra money for her family by helping others, which was her passion; she hoped that she would be earning that amount of money by the end of 12 months.

After writing down her affirmation, she let it go, keeping no attachment to it, as she had learned when taking the courses on the Law of Attraction. And so, a few months passed with nothing really happening on her website. She continued working on it, taking more courses and began building her clientele, with more money going out than coming in at that point.

While all this was going on with her courses and website, things were happening at her husband’s company. I’ll call him Bob. The management had decided to create a new position and asked Bob if he would be interested in a promotion into this position. Although he was the person who told them they really needed to create this position, he had also initially told them he wasn’t interested, thinking he would be getting more headaches than he already had.

From Whence it Comes

Well, the company created the position and asked Bob to apply for it; which, after some deep thought and soul searching, he did. When they offered him the job, they told him he would be getting a raise of $x,000, which was the exact amount she had written in her manifestation intention.

What I find funny is it took a month before Milly realized Bob’s raise was the same amount she had written. On the day she finally realized what had happened, she was watching a short video on the Law of Attraction and manifesting. She was almost finished with the video when she finally realized the manifestation intention she had written a few months before had happened!

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, you might find it funny to know that my husband and I are Bob and Milly. And that is how I KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that you CAN attract and create abundance!

Sabotage of the Subconscious Mind of an Abundant Woman

You try, you want, you desire, you meditate…..and yet it seems as if you’re stuck, going nowhere fast.  Could it be your subconscious mind is being sabotaged by thoughts and feelings of which you’re not even aware? The subconscious mind has accumulated years of habitual programming that goes on without you even consciously thinking about it.  Memories of negative experiences program you  to identify with negative “self beliefs” such as I’m inadequate, I’m worthless, I’m defective, I’m unattractive, I’m a loser, I’m a failure.  Those types of negative beliefs behave like “set points” that trigger automatic self destructive actions and thoughts that inevitably become self-fulfilling prophecies.  So, we’ve been told that if we practice positive affirmations,  we will attract positive results through the law of attraction.  Although, this is correct, if our affirmations are only rattling around in our conscious minds, what does that say of what is happening in the subconscious?  Your subconscious mind may be limiting and sabotaging you in ways that you do not even realize.

How Can You Overcome Sabotage of the Subconscious Mind?

Through practices such as meditation, yoga, or hypnosis, you will learn to develop mindfulness and an ability to live  your life consciously.  With these practices, you will  learn to observe events happening in your life consciously instead of them happening “to” you without your awareness.  You will begin to act consciously,  instead of reacting unconsciously. What you used to automatically respond to without thought, you’ll begin to notice as a negative or positive trigger of response.  Those negative triggers can then be dealt with, and old responses can be transformed into new thoughts and ideas. Those limiting beliefs can be transformed into new, positive ideals, which can then be incorporated into your meditations or self-hypnosis (which will be covered in another post).  The positive affirmations which were originally only found in the conscious mind can now be transformed into new and positive subconscious thoughts and feelings.

Remember to always keep your thoughts and feelings in your awareness and abolish anything negative that creeps in before it becomes something that encourages any sort if sabotage of your subconscious mind.
