By Margot Huff – So, follow me as I share my dream of abundance. I woke up this morning, remembering this wonderful dream of being an abundant woman, in every sense of the phrase! I sat on the edge of the bed, thanking the Universe and my Higher Power for starting my day in such a beautiful way. My dream started with me waking to a beautiful, sunny morning. Birds were chirping in the trees so melodiously (is that a real word?) just outside my open door to our 2nd floor verandah (yes, open).
There was a soft, gentle breeze coming through the screen door, making the sheers billow ever so slightly into my room….(Hey! Don’t grimace! It IS my dream, after all!) I threw back the sheets, sat on the edge of the bed, thanking the Universe and my Higher Power for starting my day in such a beautiful way (didn’t I just say that?) and hopped (well, truth be told…more like tripped) out of our oversized king sized bed to face another gorgeous day as an abundant woman. My partner (I’d say husband, but I’ve had one of those for over 30 years already) was downstairs brewing coffee and making breakfast. I could smell the fresh brewed coffee and cooked bacon (which had no fat or cholesterol), wafting up to our spacious loft bedroom (with the open window). Did I mention that the bedding, sheers, and huge, soft rug on the natural pine floor were all white?
The dog snoozing at the foot of the bed was white too (can you tell I looooove white?). So….back to the snoozing bacon, I mean dog….she awoke and came up to me for soft doggie kisses on my face (did I mention she was white…I mean white white?) Ok, well anyway, she gave me these soft doggie kisses with her delicate pink tongue (no dog breath from this girl) before I slipped into my thin, white silk robe that matched my thin, white silk negligee and flew down the stairs to greet my husband (oops, I mean partner) with a loving kiss from my ever so soft, wrinkle-free lips. He told me he gave our cook the morning off as he served me fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh brewed coffee, perfectly cooked bacon (which had no fat or cholesterol), soft and fluffy scrambled eggs with a perfectly toasted english muffin slathered in sweet, creamy butter.
Our driver (all decked out in white) waited outside, polishing the hood of our iridescent white limousine whilst I leisurely ate breakfast, showered and dressed for our 15 minute drive from our lovely, country estate through the forest to the antique mall to purchase any and all antiques I chose, which would be delivered the very same day back to our lovely, country estate.
Unfortunately, that’s when my 3 dogs woke me with wet, sloppy dog breath kisses, shedding their red hair on me, my sheets, pillow and comforter (which I can never purchase in white because I have 3 dirty dogs). But I love them so much. I also very much love my husband who does have the coffee brewing. And, although we do not have the cook, driver, limo or country estate (yet), I feel so abundant and grateful for what I do have.
So, with that, I believe I’ll end this post, go get some fresh coffee and read the Sunday paper with my husband while the dogs curl up around our feet. I hope you also have a fabulously abundant day!
